Surveying the scene before him, the King relaxed back in his chair with a pleased grin. The modified projection screens didn't miss a single detail, the sweat, the blood, the anguish, the triumph, all displayed in startlingly vibrant color for his enjoyment.
He could have stopped it, hell he could have prevented the entire war from ever occurring in the first place and maybe he should have. But he had little interest in politics. Or Soul Society for that matter.
Watching their struggles intently, Isshin snagged his blond companion's striped hat, placing it on his own head. His new crown.

I seriously hope something like this happens. Isshin's history definitely ties in tightly with the plot of the series (God I can't wait to learn his back story though) and he's more important than you might think. And something of this proportion would make me one hell of a satisfied fangirl.
